GUNTUR: BJP national secretary and MLC V Ram Madhav has observed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to align with the Congress would trouble the soul of TDP founder late N T Rama Rao.
Addressing the Mahila Sadhikaratha-Mahila Sammelan of the BJP women’s wing in Guntur, Madhav said that BSP founder Kanshiram and party president Mayawati were friends of N T Rama Rao and the three worked against Congress corruption. But sadly, Naidu was seeking Mayawati's support to save the Congress, he said.
Madhav termed TDP ‘Telugu Drohula Party’ and appealed to women to bring down the TDP and vote the BJP to power in AP. He expressed confidence that no party would form government in the State without the support of the BJP. It’s unfortunate that Naidu visited Delhi to save the Congress and not for the welfare of the State.
Taking potshots at Naidu, Madhav said that the AP CM was working with the Congress in Telangana but using Union government funds for the construction of Polavaram project. “While some CMs were involved in the fodder scam, toilet scam is taking place in AP,” he said and warned that the Centre would not allow corruption in construction of toilets. The BJP leader alleged that Naidu government was resorting to rampant corruption.
