Yuva Galam Padayatra: Akhila Priya,Subba Reddy groups clash in Nandyal

Former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and former AP Minor Irrigation Corporation chairman AV Subba Reddy separately arranged a grand welcome to Lokesh at Kothapalli.

KURNOOL: Tension prevailed at Kothapalli village in Nandyal mandal on Tuesday following a clash between two TDP groups during Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam Padayatra.

Former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and former AP Minor Irrigation Corporation chairman AV Subba Reddy separately arranged a grand welcome to Lokesh at Kothapalli. The two groups allegedly clashed before the arrival of Lokesh.

Heated arguments took place between the two groups, leading to tension in the village. However, police brought the situation under control. A few activists from both the groups, including AV Subba  Reddy, were reportedly injured in the clash.

Following the clash between the two groups, the police strengthened security in sensitive areas in Lokesh’s padayatra route.
