VIJAYAWADA: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vivek Yadav conducted an all-party meeting on Tuesday at the Secretariat and handed over the soft copy of draft electoral rolls of all 175 Assembly Constituencies published on July 31.
The qualifying date for this Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is July 1, 2026. The total electorate strength in Andhra Pradesh stands at 3,72,02,684 (including service voters), of which male electors are 1,82,69,019, female electors are 1,89,30,929 and third gender electors are 2,736.
The Chief Electoral Officer has also informed that during the enumeration phase, BLOs have conducted house to house visits from June 15 to July 24, 2026 and a total of 3,71,38,182 (89.22%) enumeration forms were received and digitized. A total of 44,89,512 (10.78%) electors were reported as not found at their given addresses during the enumeration phase due to death (15,22,174), permanent shifting (14,43,888), multiple enrolments (7,37,218), untraceability (7,77,905), or other reasons.
The Chief Electoral Officer commended the exemplary performance of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) throughout the enumeration phase. Representatives across political parties concurred with the assessment, expressing full satisfaction with the process.
He further informed that all the District Election Officers have taken up rationalisation of polling stations following the upper limit of electors per polling station at 1,200 and this has led to a net increase of 3,933 Polling Stations, taking the total count from 46,397 to 50,330.
The Chief Electoral Officer has also informed that to ensure complete transparency and prevent wrongful exclusion, Polling Station-wise lists of Absent, Shifted, Death, and Duplicate (ASDD) electors have been displayed on notice boards at all ERO/AERO offices, Gram Panchayat/Municipal offices, Polling Stations, and uploaded on the CEO website.
No deletion will occur without due process and every elector, who could not be linked or there is discrepancy in their linking with the electoral roll of 2002 SIR details, will receive a formal notice and hearing, and orders will be passed only via speaking orders by the ERO/AERO. Any eligible citizen whose name does not appear in the Draft Roll, or who turned 18 on or before July 1, 2026, is encouraged to apply for inclusion during the Claims & Objections period.
The Draft Electoral Roll is available for public inspection at all ERO/AERO offices, polling stations with BLOs, and online at ceoandhra.nic.in. Citizens can also seek guidance by calling the toll-free voter helpline 1950. The Chief Electoral Officer urged all political parties, civil society organisations, and citizens to actively participate in this revision process to ensure a 100% accurate and error-free Electoral Roll in AP.
