Rich tributes paid to Prakasam Pantulu to mark birth anniversary of Andhra Kesari

Swamy said NDA government draws inspiration from Pantulu’s values, while Collector Rajababu highlighted his rise from humble beginnings.

ONGOLE: The district administration marked the 155th birth anniversary of ‘Andhra Kesari’ Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on Sunday.

Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Collector P Rajababu, MLAs D Janardhana Rao and BN Vijaya Kumar, along with other dignitaries, attended celebrations at the Collectorate.

Authorities organised programmes at Devarampadu Vijaya Stupa and Vinoda Rayunipalem, Pantulu’s birthplace. Leaders garlanded his statue, felicitated great‑grandson Tanguturi Santhosh Kumar and inaugurated a photo exhibition.

Additional tributes were paid at the District Police Office and in Chimakurthy, where Prakasam Seva Samiti garlanded Pantulu’s statue.
