BANGALORE: The resignation tendered by Ramachandra Gowda from the post of Vice-Chairman, State Planning Board, has been accepted, an official notification said here on Thursday.

 Gowda had submitted his resignation on May 15.

 Gowda, a senior BJP leader, is contesting the Legislative Council election scheduled for June 6 from the Graduates Constituency.

 He is filing his nomination papers on Friday
