Esther Breaks Down at URA Programme

MYSURU: It was an emotional event for Esther, widow of Jnanpith awardee U R Ananthamurthy (URA).

Tears rolled out of Esther’s eyes when she met Ananthamurthy’s friends and well-wishers at the event organised by U R Ananthamurthy’s 82nd Birthday Celebration Committee on Sunday.

After paying tribute to URA’s portrait, she said she attended the programme with a heavy heart. A book ‘Ananthamurthy Vangmayi,’ a collection of URA’s works, was released on the occasion. Many intellectuals and writers shared their close association with URA.
