Tour India This Month on Janmashtami Special Train

The Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate a ‘Janmashtami Special’ Bharat Darshan train to Mathura via Bengaluru this month.

BENGALURU: The Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate a ‘Janmashtami Special’ Bharat Darshan train to Mathura via Bengaluru this month.

The train will begin its journey from Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu in the wee hours of August 27 and reach Bengaluru the same day. The duration of the tour is 12 days and the package is meant only for tourists, an IRCTC release stated.

From Bengaluru, the train will have stoppages at Puri, Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, Haridwar and Delhi, before reaching Mathura. 

The cost of the package tour is Rs 9,940 a person and is inclusive of the sleeper class journey, hall or dormitory accommodation, vegetarian food, tour escort and security for each coach.

IRCTC also operates pilgrimage tour packages from Bengaluru to Shirdi, Tirupati, Rameswaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari.

Reservations for all the tours have commenced at IRCTC counters and on the website www.irctctourism.com.
