Writer Vijaya Dabbe died after a cardiac arrest in the city on Friday. She was 66. According to the sources, Dabbe was at her brother’s house in Vijayangar first stage.

MYSURU:  Writer Vijaya Dabbe died after a cardiac arrest in the city on Friday. She was 66. According to the sources, Dabbe was at her brother’s house in Vijayangar first stage. The mortal remains have been kept at her brother’s residence to enable her relatives and friends to pay their last respects.

The last rites will be conducted on Saturday. She was in the forefront of feminist movement. She was a recipient of Karnataka Rajyotsava and Attimabbe awards, State and Kendra Sahitya Akademi awards, Vardhamana award among others.
