DEVANAHALLI (BENGALURU RURAL) : A farmer created a scene at the Deputy Commissioner’s Complex at Devanahalli in the presence of Food and Civil Supplies Minister KH Muniyappa on Thursday saying he would swallow poison if a land dispute involving him was not settled before April 14.

Muniyappa was chairing a meeting regarding Dr B R Ambedkar Jayanti and Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti, attended by senior officials and leaders of various Dalit organisations.

When the minister came down after the meeting, Anjanappa (55), a resident of Muddakurki, shouted that his issue has not been solved in spite of repeated requests and he would commit suicide. He also raised a bottle in his hand. The police immediately stepped in and whisked him away.
