Four-year-old girl killed as tree falls on school bus in Karnataka's Bantwal taluk

MANGALURU: A 4-year-old girl was killed when a huge tree uprooted and fell on a school bus at Barimaru village of Bantwal taluk in Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Chiranwi. Police said two other children were injured.

The bus belonging to Sri Rama School in Kalladka was dropping the children home when the incident occurred around 5 pm. Bantwal Rural police have registered a case. Dakshina Kannada is witnessing heavy rains for the last few days.
