GURUVAYUR: The renowned Parambanthally Shashti festival of Lord Subramanian will be celebrated at the Sree Mahadeva Temple, Mullassery, near here, on Tuesday. Thousands of devotees will throng the Siva temple and will observe Shasti Vritham and offer prayers at the temple from the wee hours of Tuesday.

Various desam committees will conduct Kavadi procession, accompanied by melam, caparisoned elephants and kettukazhcha to the temple.

Elaborate arrangements to contain the heavy flow of devotees have been made at the temple and its the premises. Heavy police force led by Kunnamkulam DySP T K Thomas and Guruvayur CI S Abhilash are camping at Parambathully for the security arrangements and to manage the processions beginning from Monday night. There will be traffic restriction from 10 am on the Chavakkad-Thrissur Road from Poovathur, said CI Abhilash.
