THRISSUR: Founder chairman of Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute Archbishop Jacob Thoomkuzhy, has presented ‘Ten Commandments’ for doctors at a meeting of newly pledged doctors held at the College in connection with ‘The Day of the Sick’ observed on Wednesday.

The Archbishop exhorted the doctors to remember and practice these commandments throughout their life.

Director of the College Fr Dr Francis Alapatt presided the meeting.

The commandments were: Thou shall not be the spokesman of the ‘culture of death’, thou shall be at the service of the sick even on your days of leave and on odd hours, thou shall spiritually be identified with the members of the patients’ family, thou shall not forget God during the treatment, thou shall continue to be students of medicine and latest developments in the field, thou shall not be slaves of money, thou shall not speak ill of your colleagues, knowledge, thou shall not make your treatment expensive, thou shall invest time and intellect in research and thou shall not forget that wisdom of doctors comes from above.
