MALAPPURAM: The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP) Coimbatore Ltd., joining hands with the Emerald Group of Hotels, has launched a therapeutic unit at Silent Valley Resort, Pulamanthole, in Malappuram.

Addressing reporters on Friday, AVP Managing Director C Krishnakumar said authentic ayurvedic treatment would be available at the centre.

“The service of senior AVP physicians and therapists has been made available available full time at the centre to offer consultation and treatment. The service of astrologers for guidance in astrological medication too will be provided for those who need it,” he said.

The AVP management feels Pulamanthole could be taken as an ideal spot in Kerala for the promotion of Ayurveda. For example, the proximity of the Rudradhanwanthari temple that has had a close association with ancient gurus of Ayurveda.

Emerald Group director Faisal and corporate GM Sudheesh A Nair said the global recession had not affected ayurveda in the state.

“It has sunny prospects in the days ahead,” they felt.
