PALAKKAD: The Guinness World Record certificate for the excellence in playing mridangam for 501 hours was handed over to mridangam maestro Kuzhalmannam Ramakrishnan at his residence in New Delhi the other day. Kuzhalmannam Ramakrishnan had performed continuously for 501 hours at the Nandavanam Hospital at Ottappalam from July 5 to 26 as part of the Rhythm Therapy for patients.

Meanwhile, at a function held at the Kerala House, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister T K A Nair released the CD styled ‘Relax with Rhythm’ brought out by Ramakrishnan. P K Biju MP was also present.
