NEDUMBASSERY: Air India has offered special monsoon packages for travel on domestic sector. The passengers paying normal for economyclass fare for travel, will be allowed to travel in executive class till September 30, Air India deputy manager (communication) Aby George said.
However, this offer is subject to availability of seats in executive class. The offer cannot be availed of in case of change of equipment (type of aircraft). In both cases refund is not allowed.
Passengers paying full economyclass fare will have the option to either get an upgrade to executive class under the monsoon special offer or avail themselves of free travel of a companion in economy class.
Passengers paying full executive class fare will continue to be allowed a free companion ticket in executive class.
Air India has introduced the Rainbow Super Saver Ticket, under which a four coupon economyclass ticket at Rs 21,328 (inclusive of taxes), is issued for travel on all domestic sectors on AI / IC Coded flights. But for travel on the Delhi Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi Coimbatore, Delhi Kozhikode and Delhi Kochi sectors, two coupons will be given for travel instead of a single coupon. This offer will be valid till September 30 and is open to all Indians and foreign nationals buying the ticket in India.
