THRISSUR: The Vigilance Court here on Tuesday rejected the petition filed against Industry Minister P K Kunhalikutty and his wife Ummukulsu, by National Secular Conference leader N K Abdul Aziz.

The petition alleged Kunhalikutty and Ummukulsu of amassing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income during former’s tenure as a minister in the last UDF Government.

The court rejected the petition on the grounds that the petitioner had failed to produce evidence to substantiate the allegations against the respondents.

According to the petitioner, Kunhalikutty had acquired property worth `2 crore at two places in Thiruvananthapuram and other places, including Gudalur in Tamil Nadu.
