Sadiqali is MYL Prez, Subair Sec

KOZHIKODE: The State Council of the Muslim Youth League (MYL) held in Kozhikode on Tuesday has unanimously elected P M Sadiqali of Thrissur as its new state president. C K Subair of Kozhikode and P M Haneef of Malappuram have been elected as the new general secretary and treasurer respectively, of the youth outfit of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).

A staunch defender of the former MYL president K M Shaji, Sadiqali, hailing from Nattika, was the treasurer of the previous MYL state committee. He is also the former general secretary and state president of the MSF.

C K Subair hails from Nadapuram in Kozhikode and has served as treasurer, vice-president and secretary of the MYL state committee. He is also the regional coordinator of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and director of the Forum for Ideal Thoughts. The new office-bearers were announced by Panakkad Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal after the Council meeting in the presence of IUML leaders.
