Socialist Janata (Democratic) state committee members K Krishnankutty and M K Premnath have been expelled from the party for anti-party activities, Socialist Janata (Democratic) secretary general Varghese George said.

The meeting also decided to dissolve its Palakkad district committee for supporting the ‘rebel activities’ of Krishnankutty.

The Palakkad district committee will be revamped under state committee member A Bhaskaran as the convener. “In another decision, E P Damodaran has been removed from the post of state president, Kisan Janatha, for anti-party activities,” Varghese George said.

The decisions were taken in separate meetings of the state-level leaders of the party and that of the state committee.
