National maths olympiad in February 2014

The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad being organised by the Department of Mathematics of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) in association with the National Board for Higher Mathematics, a unit of Department of Atomic Energy, will be held in February 2014 at the Cusat campus.

The Regional Mathematics Olympiad will be held on December 1 at various centres across the state. Students of class X, XI and XII can apply for the first stage, from which 20 candidates will be selected to participate in the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad.

Top five will get cash prizes instituted by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment as well as Prof C S Venkataraman Memorial Prizes.  Applications with name, class, address, e-mail id and exam centre along with a registration fee of `50 in the form of DD, drawn in favour of Regional Co-ordinator, INMO, payable at SBT, Cusat Branch, should reach P M Mathew, Joint Coordinator, INMO, St Joseph’s College, Devagiri, Kozhikode, 673008 on or before October 15.
