KOTTAYAM: “Yesteryear’s legendary Malayalam teachers like Kuttipuzha Krishna Pillai and D P Unni were the ones who took us beyond the narrative prose of Kottarathil Sankunni Warrier,” observed Prof C R Omanakuttan. He was speaking on the occasion of the 160th birth anniversary of Kottarathil Sankunni who is well known for ‘Aithihya Maala’.
The contributions of D P Unni, acclaimed literary critic who also served as a Malayalam professor in various colleges for long, were also remembered on the occasion.
D P Unni’s noted works are ‘Sahithyarangam’, ‘Sahithyasarani and ‘Madanamanjari’.
