THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: December 26 following an illness while returning from Muscat. Church supremo Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan visited the bishop before the death was confirmed at 5.50 pm. The mortal remains of the bishop were kept at the St Thomas Mar Thoma Syrian Church at Pattoor for an hour. The body will be interred in a specially constructed crypt at the Mar Thoma Syrian Church at Tiruvalla on Tuesday. An emergency Church Council will be convened on Monday to take a decision on the funeral. The body of the Suffragan Metropolitan will be kept at Thittamel Church at Chengannur for the public to pay homage.
