SRP to be Reconstituted

Express News Service

KOCHI: Socialist Republican Party (SRP) will be reconstituted and the district-level committees will be formed soon.

C K Vidyasagar, former president of SNDP Yogam, is the chairman of the party. A convention of party workers will be held at Thrissur during the second week of April.

Vidyasagar said that a new facelift will be given to the party, by effacing its identity as the political party of the Ezhava community, and adorning it with the hue and colour of a mainstream political outfit. The party will address the live issues facing Kerala, namely corruption, nepotism and the inefficiency eating into the very marrows of Kerala’s development dreams.

The meeting held at Thrissur was attended by K G Viyath and general secretary of SRP S Renjith.
