Tiger Found Dead at Thekkady

IDUKKI:  In yet another tragedy, one more tiger died at the Periyar Tiger Reserve, taking the number of dead tigers to five within a few months.

The forest guards, who were on patrol at Chevaleda area, spotted the dead tiger on Thursday.

Soon they passed on the information to Thekkady, and the carcass was later taken to the Rajiv Gandhi Nature Study Centre in Thekkady, where the autopsy was conducted on Friday by a special panel as per the guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
