MALAPPURAM: Criticising the Karnataka government over the delayed trial of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, Local Administration Minister K T Jaleel said the state should either release Madani or hang him.

In a Facebook post, Jaleel said the torture between death and life is unbearable. Jaleel visited Madani in Bengaluru on Friday after attending a harmony meet in Puttaparthi.  Jaleel said Madani was struggling due to illnesses but was mentally strong.

“Madani was released citing lack of evidence after being jailed for nine years. He was jailed again by the Karnataka government on fake charges. The state is adjourning his trial. This is proof of his innocence,” Jaleel wrote.
