IDUKKI: Manoharan, father of slain SFI leader Abhimanyu, on Tuesday said his entire family will be forced to commit suicide if the authorities of Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, did not find the true culprits behind his son’s murder within 10 days.

Manoharan conveyed the decision to the college faculty, including the principal, when the latter visited Abhimanyu’s house at Vattavada in Idukki. Monoharan, who is yet to recover from the shock of his son’s demise, became emotional when he saw the college authorities. Recalling old memories, Manoharan told them if the authorities fail to find the murderer, the family will be left with no other option than to kill themselves.

During the visit, the college staff led by principal K N Krishnakumar and faculty member M S Murali handed over a cheque of `5 lakh to the bereaved family. Abhimayu, 20, was allegedly stabbed to death by some Campus Front activists at the college on June 1.
