KOCHI: With seemingly no end in sight to the hardships encountered by motorists at Vyttila junction, where the construction of the flyover and the Kochi Metro work are underway, the Public Works Department (PWD) and the district administration have come out with several measures to mitigate the snarl-ups.
As part of the measures, the service road connecting to SA Road from Alappuzha side at Vyttila junction will be elevated and raised to the level of the Alappuzha-Vyttila highway, ensuring smooth flow of traffic. Pavement tiles will also be laid on the road.

Also planned

The underpass through which the buses proceed towards the Vyttila mobility hub will be widened and laid using paver locks. Besides, the service roads in Kundannur will also be paved with tiles to ease traffic flow. The potholes on the roads in Vyttila and Kundannur junctions will be filled using advanced GSB and WMM technology and will be paved with tiles.
