THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Alleging an understanding between the BJP and CPM in Kerala, veteran Congress leader A K Antony on Tuesday said the BJP will help CPM in the assembly elections to prevent the emergence of a Congress CM from southern states.

Speaking at a press conference, Antony claimed that Pinarayi Vijayan was the lone chief minister in the country who got permission to visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whenever he sought it.

“Pinarayi appears to be favoured by both Modi and Amit Shah,” he said. Antony also accused Pinarayi of having reduced himself to an invisible CM.

“He does not tolerate criticism. During his tenure, how many ordinary people got passes to meet him during visiting hours at his secretariat office? This is what voters will judge on thee day of the results,” he said, adding, “In their hearts, people have already voted UDF to power.”

Antony said Congress would elect its CM within 48 hours of the declaration of results. He also asserted that BJP would not win a single seat in Keralam.
