SAKHIGOPAL: Around two lakh devotees from different parts of the State thronged the Sakhigopal temple as part of Anla Navami celebrations. On Anla Navami the devotees have a darshan of 'Radha pada', the only day when devotees get to see the feet of Goddess Radha which remain covered throughout the year.

All the rituals were carried out as per tradition and in time, said the temple executive officer Bidyanath Dash.

The district administration had made elaborate arrangements to ensure a peaceful function with 11 platoons of police force, 10 DSPs besides 200 cops deployed to prevent any untoward incident, Dash informed.

Satyabadi tehsildar Diptirani Sahoo, Pipili SDPO RC Rout and Satyabadi police station incharge Prasanna Kumar Biswal were present, among others.
