Star studded Film Fair awards

Dance, music and comedy show marked yet another edition of the Real Vision Odisha Film Fair Awards here at Bhubaneswar recently. Held at Utkal Mandap, the evening saw an array of stars from Ollywood, some as guests and some performing at the event, inaugurated by producer-director Gopal Ghosh.

There were dance performances by Sizzlers Dance Group, actress Bidusmita, Mamta and Debjani besides actors Somesh, Aviram Khuntia and Satyajit Pradhan. Indian Idol fame singer Sohini Mishra also performed.

The highlights of the event were standup comedy by Papu Pom Pom and an act by ‘Malkhamb’ performers from Puri.

Later, while the Lifetime Achievement award was accorded on Dolly Jena for her contribution to Indian Cinema, a Special Artist award went to Kuna Tripathy. Ollywood’s hit pair Anubhav Mohanty and Barsha Priyadarshini were conferred the Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively for ‘Balunga Toka’. In fact, ‘Balunga Toka’ bagged awards for Best Comedian (Pappu Pom Pom), Best Director (Sudhakar Basant), Best Producer (Pravas Ranjan Rout) and Best Supporting Actor (Minaketan).
