The Lalchand Entertainment Awards, 2012 - an exclusive awards nite of glitz and glamour - will be aired on Tarang TV on Sunday.
Touted as the biggest extravaganza in the Odia entertainment industry, the event saw participation of who’s who of the industry.
While Gloria Mohanty received the Lifetime Achievement award, film-maker Prashant Nanda was felicitated as Odisha’s Favourite Showman. Likewise, ace actors Mahesweta Ray, Hara Pattnaik and Debu Bose were recognised as the State’s Favourite icons. Anubhav and Archita were crowned the Best Actor and Actress respectively.
Mumbai-based Odia director Nilamadhab Panda and actor Pitobas Tripathy were given Odisha’s Pride awards for making their mark in national and international cinema.
The event saw colourful performances by established actors Sabyasachi, Buddhaditya, Archita and new-comers Harihar Das, Prakruti, Anubha besides TV starlets Gargi and Jaya. ‘Nach Baliye Season 3’ winners Aamir Ali and wife Sanjeeda Shaikh were the special attractions of the evening.
