Sexual abuse charge on ITI officer 

A training officer of Bhawanipatna Government ITI, Managovind Bag, was suspended on Wednesday for allegedly sexually harassing a girl student.

BHAWANIPATNA: A training officer of Bhawanipatna Government ITI, Managovind Bag, was suspended on Wednesday for allegedly sexually harassing a girl student. She had registered a complaint with principal of the college.The girl, a hostel inmate, alleged that she was in charge of decorating the college for its annual day celebration on July 15. To discuss details of the annual day celebration, Bag called two girls from hostel on July 14 night to second floor of the ITI’s new building.

He then sent the other girl to another floor of the building on the pretext of some work and tried to outrage the modesty of the victim. She, however, managed to escape from the spot. Based on her complaint, the three-member sexual harassment cell of the college conducted an inquiry and found the allegation to be true. Principal of the ITI, Sarat Kumar Muduli informed the Director of Technical Education and Training, Balbant Singh about the incident, who placed Bag under suspension.
