Nalco hits record highs in production and sales in 2025-26, posts strong growth across operations

Cast metal production was recorded at 4.72 lakh tonne, alongside a highest-ever net power generation of 6,953 million units and coal production of 40 lakh tonne.

BHUBANESWAR: Navratna CPSE National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has achieved its highest-ever production across multiple operational fronts and surpassing previous records in both production and sales in 2025-26 fiscal.

The company recorded bauxite excavation of 77.01 lakh tonne and bauxite transportation of 77.07 lakh tonne, while alumina hydrate production reached 23 lakh tonne and calcined alumina production stood at 22.75 lakh tonne in the year. Cast metal production was recorded at 4.72 lakh tonne, alongside a highest-ever net power generation of 6,953 million units and coal production of 40 lakh tonne.

The company recorded a 6.13 per cent growth in bauxite transportation over the previous year, while calcined alumina production witnessed a significant increase of 11.16 per cent and aluminium cast metal production rose by 2.61 per cent year-on-year.

On the sales front, the company registered its best-ever performance, with total alumina sales reaching 14.46 lakh tonne and domestic alumina sales remaining 1.38 lakh tonne. Aluminium metal sales also recorded 4.74 lakh tonne including highest-ever domestic metal sale of 4.61 lakh tonne. Total alumina sales registered a robust growth of 30.74 per cent, said an official.

Nalco CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh said, “The achievement reflects the dedication, discipline and collective strength of our employees. We consistently strived to surpass our own benchmarks and this milestone further strengthens our path towards sustained business excellence.”
