Pon Radhakrishnan elected BJP's TN unit President

Tamil Nadu state BJP President PonRadhakrishnan was today elected for a second successive termfor the post.

He was declared elected unanimously by party's Centralobserver and former Minister Bandaru Dattatreya in thepresence of senior leaders including Muralidhar Rao, party'sstate-in-charge and former state unit presidents L Ganesan andC P Radhakrishnan.

A former Union Minister, who was inducted in the A BVajpayee-led government in 1999, Radhakrishnan's second termas BJP's state unit president will last for three years.

He had represented Nagercoil constituency in theParliament.

After being declared elected, Radhakrishnan said he plannedto hold a series of protests and agitations covering variousareas including women's rights and agriculture.
