The body of a post-graduate medical student who allegedly committed suicide by hanging was found in a hostel room of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research(JIPMER) here on Tuesday.
According to D’Nagar police, Annie Harshitha(27), a native of Secunderabad, was a second-year MD student of radio therapy at JIPMER. Her father Arun Kumar attempted to contact her on mobile phone many times on Monday and received no response. Consequently, he rushed to JIPMER on Tuesday and found the door and window of Annie’s room locked. D’Nagar police were informed and Annie’s body was found after the door was broke open. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem.by the police.
