VELLORE: As many as 4,004 candidates, who passed plus two board examination this year, have availed of the online employment registration facility ever since the service was launched by the department of employment and training on Wednesday.

District Employment Officer, R Arunagiri, on Saturday said that 9,169 candidates had also updated their registration through the online process from their respective schools since Wednesday. So far 13,173 candidates have availed of the facility in the district.

The online registration would be open for 15 days. Further, the facility of registering from school has simplified the procedure for the aspirants as their details would be readily available in their institutions’ database.

However, if any candidate fails to register themselves within the 15-day period, they would have to feed the required data afresh to register again. During the 15-day period, the candidates would have the same seniority of registration as on May 21, Arunagiri added.

The online registration is being carried out in all the 600 government and matriculation Higher Secondary Schools in the district. Each school has been allotted two user IDs and two passwords for the registration process, he added.
