COIMBATORE: Coimbatore-based BJP national youth wing secretary A P Muruganandam is a part of the national-level delegation which will be touring China as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship ‘Make in India’ campaign.

Muruganandam is the only representative of the party from the southern States, to be in the 10-member delegation which will reach China on Sunday.

BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and BJP national spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh are among senior leaders in the delegation.

Speaking to Express on Saturday, Muruganandam said the team was chosen by the Prime Minister’s Office, New Delhi. “The team has been bestowed with the task of strengthening the ‘Make in India’ programme. “The team has been asked to study how China successfully controlled growing urbanisation practices through various policy changes. The team will study how China has dealt with this problem,” Muruganandam said.
