CHENNAI: A team of doctors from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS] again

visited Apollo Hospital in Chennai today where Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa is being treated since September 22.

The three specialists, Dr G Khilnani, Dr Anjan Trikha and Dr Nitish Naik, visited Apollo Hospital at least twice earlier to advise on treatment for the Chief Minister.

Another doctor from London, Dr Richard Beale, has also been consulted twice on the line of treatment.

The last bulletin on Jayalalithaa's health, released by Apollo Hospitals two days ago, said the necessary respiratory support, antibiotics, nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy were being given.

The Chief Minister was being constantly monitored by intensivists and other consultants.

An earlier bulletin, released on October 6, had said Jayalalithaa would need a longer stay in hospital.
