Stones pelted at three buses after rumours about M Karunanidhi’s health

Miscreants started crawling out and pelted three government buses with stones, damaging windshield of the public carrier.

TIRUCHY : No sooner had the rumours of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) patriarch 
M Karunanidhi breathing his last surfaced than miscreants taking to streets and going on a vandalism spree. According to police, three buses came under attack on Sunday night.

However, police brought the situation under control when the rumours were dismissed after the hospital released a statement. 

Karunanidhi is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. On Sunday night, rumours started doing rounds about the DMK patriarch’s health condition. Worried shopkeepers put up shutters. 

However, by night, miscreants started crawling out and pelted three government buses with stones, damaging windshield of the public carrier. The Ammapet police registered a case and detained five persons on suspicion.
