TIRUNELVELI: A jail warden working at Palayamkottai central prison was arrested here on Sunday for allegedly murdering his wife by beheading her on the outskirts of Palayamkottai.

The police said that the 27-year-old man surrendered at the Palayamkottai police station after committing the crime.

The police said that Balaguru asked Velammal on Saturday night to come along with him to Tiruchendur temple. While the couple were on a motorcycle, they again entered into a heated argument following which Balaguru took his wife to a nearby bushland and beheaded her.
