TIRUCHY: As many as 18 inmates of special camp in Tiruchy Central Prison tested Covid positive on Thursday. Sources said they have been isolated, premises sanitised and precautionary measures initiated.
The special camp is being used to lodge foreign nationals caught in connection with immigration and other criminal cases. As many as 107 inmates are housed in the camp, among which 85 are Sri Lankan nationals.
