MNM panel decides to establish disaster rescue team in each zone

Makkal Needhi Maiam has decided to establish a disaster rescue team in each zone of the party.

CHENNAI: Ahead of the 2024 Parliament general elections, Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan convened a meeting with executive committee members at the party’s office.

Seven resolutions were adopted in the meeting, including the decision to conduct the party’s general body by the end of February and establish a separate wing for the welfare of physically-challenged persons.

In addition, MNM has decided to establish a disaster rescue team in each zone of the party. AG Mourya, the party’s state-level leader, said MNM has put forth two conditions for potential alliances in the upcoming elections. The party will only seek alliances with those committed to development of Tamil Nadu and the welfare of Tamils, he said.
