Kista Reddy to be PAC Chief

HYDERABAD: Congress MLA from Narayankhed P Kista Reddy would be the first chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Telangana state.

As a practice, the PAC will be headed by a member from the opposition party and the Congress choose to nominate Kista Reddy for the post. Kista Reddy was chosen by the party as he was a senior  member who did not hold any cabinet post when the Congress was in power.

The party, it is said, has decided to give one year term to Kista Reddy and later replace with another senior leader Ramreddy Venkat Reddy from Khammam district. The other members of the PAC include TDP’s Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and MLCs. TRS member S Ramalinga Reddy would head the Estimates Committee. DK Aruna, P Ajay (of Congress) and other MLCs will be the members of the committee.

TRS MLA from Adilabad district, Divakar Rao, is likely to head the Public Undertakings Committee. TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar and others are the other members.
