HYDERABAD: After a brief pause in its activities, following a revolt against it by some of its dissidents, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) headed by M Kodandaram, has again begun sounding war bugle against the TRS government in the state.

Stating that K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government has completely lost contact with people in the state, Kodandaram said the organisation will hold various programmes and meetings across the state from coming April to exert pressure on the state government to fulfil its poll promises.

“This government is working for the corporate forces and has forgotten its promises made to various sections of people. It has gone into out of range for people like a cell phone, which has no signals. Rulers are not in a position to come to the people to know their problems. But, our efforts to get an audience with the rulers are turning futile,” the TJAC chairman said here.

According to him, the TJAC had decided to organise protests and round-table meetings on issues such as unemployment, fee reimbursement and farmers’ suicides across the state in the coming days. The organisation organised its extended executive body meeting here on Sunday under the chairmanship of Kodandaram and resolved to appoint village committees to strengthen it from the grassroots.

As per the latest action plan announced by the TJAC, the organisation will hold round-table conferences and meetings in each districts in coming April demanding the government to implement it promise of providing free education to all the children belonging to downtrodden classes from KG to PG level. At the same time, these programmes will be utilised to ask the government to regulate the fees structure in corporate educational institutions.

In May, the outfit will hold seminars across the state to expose the failures of the government in providing lakhs of jobs to unemployed youth.

“This government is accepting the fact that there are more than one lakh vacancies in various departments. But, at the same time, it is not coming forward to fill all these vacant posts. Hence, we have decided to hold seminars and meetings across the state in May to exert pressure on the government,” Kodandaram said.

Later, the TJAC will appoint its committees in each village in the month of May to strengthen the organisation at grassroots level.

After that, the organisation will hold ‘Prof Jayashankar Sir Yatra’ in the name of Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar to achieve ‘Bathuku Telagnana’, wherein the problems of the weaker sections and downtrodden classes will be resolved.
