Four killed in a road mishap in Telangana's Karimnagar

Four persons were killed after a car, they were travelling in, rammed into a lorry parked on the roadside at Rajiv Rahadari near Karimnagar town in Telangana.

HYDERABAD: Four persons were killed after a car, they were travelling in, rammed into a lorry parked on the roadside at Rajiv Rahadari near Karimnagar town in Telangana.

Police said the deceased belong to Kundanpalli in Ramagundam mandal in Peddapalli district. 

The incident took place at 2.30 am near Anganoor petrol pump at Rajiv Rahadari near Karimnagar town when they were on their way to Ramagundam from Hyderabad. 

"They went Hyderabad to distribute wedding cards of their close relative and were returning to Ramagundam when their vehicle rammed into the lorry which was parked on the roadside," the police said.

“The impact of the collision was so strong that the four died on the spot,” they added.

Over speeding is said to be the cause of the accident. 

The police had to strive hard to pull out dead bodies which were trapped in the mangled car. The vehicle's front portion got completely damaged and police have to use gas cutters to break open the doors and pull apart the wreckage.
