HYDERABAD: A Hyderabad-based woman working with an IT firm topped the list of individual taxpayers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the financial year 2017-18.

She paid Rs 9 crore income tax on an income of Rs 30 crore. National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) with Rs 2,259 crore has become the highest taxpayer in the corporate sector.

Principal chief commissioner of income-tax in the two States S P Choudhury said manufacturing sector stood first with Rs 4,924 crore tax payment, followed by banking & financial institutions with Rs 1,645 crore.
