HYDERABAD: Chi ef Minister A Revanth Reddy presented opportunities for leading global institutions to establish a presence in Hyderabad to an academic team from the University of Cambridge during his ongoing visit to London.
The chief minister, along with IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, met the Cambridge team and invited the university to partner with Telangana in creating a world-class global knowledge hub.
Professor Jaideep Prabhu, Government of India-sponsored Professor of Marketing at Cambridge Judge Business School, and Professor Venkata Serish Gandikota, CJBS, and co-chair of Frugal AI, expressed keen interest in partnering with Telangana.

Revanth also led the Telangana Rising delegation to Senate House at the University of London for a round-table discussion. Sridhar Babu, Adviser K Ramakrishna Rao and Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan met representatives of the University of London. The delegation discussed the University of London’s plans to establish a campus in Hyderabad, bringing world-class education and a wide range of programmes to Telangana’s youth. The discussions also focused on potential collaboration in higher education and research.
Meanwhile, Susan Finnegan and Nuala Gallagher of Liverpool City Development, along with their colleagues from Liverpool Football Club, met the chief minister in London. Liverpool expressed interest in entering into a strategic partnership with Telangana, focusing on life sciences, technology, sports and the creative economy. A Liverpool delegation is expected to visit Hyderabad in October to formalise the partnership.
Meanwhile, Ramakrishna Rao visited Imperial College in London and met its vice president for strategic engagement and its senior international relations manager (South Asia and Australasia). He presented the strengths of Telangana and detailed opportunities for collaboration. He invited them to Hyderabad for the Invest Telangana Global Summit to be held on December 7, 8 and 9.
