HYDERABAD: The Telangana School Education Department on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-SAT to expand digital educational broadcasts and provide government school students access to learning content beyond classroom hours.
Under the agreement, T-SAT will broadcast special digital classes for Classes IX and X during evening hours. It will also air programmes for students, parents and teachers across the state.
The programmes will include a proposed interaction between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and parents of students studying in nearly 28,000 government schools. Another programme, ‘Mana Jilla-Mana Paathashala’, will be conducted by District Educational Officers.
Teaching-Learning Material (TLMlm) Melas, teacher awareness programmes and capacity-building sessions will also be broadcast on T-SAT.
Director of School Education Dr Naveen Nicolas and T-SAT CEO Bodanapally Venugopal Reddy said digital learning would play a key role in expanding learning opportunities for government school students and preparing them to compete effectively. They said the MoU would improve coordination between the School Education Department and T-SAT in producing and broadcasting educational content.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the State’s digital education ecosystem by extending classroom learning to students, teachers and parents through television-based educational broadcasts.
