Grapevine has it that Nainika, who was seen in Vijay’s Theri (2016) as his daughter, will be a part of the Tamil remake of Malayalam film, Bhaskar the Rascal (2015). The original had Mammootty in the lead, and in Tamil, Arvind Swami will reprise the role. Amala Paul has been finalised to play the leading lady. Apparently, the remake will be directed by Siddique, who filmed the original. According to sources, the director is in Chennai and is finalising the other details. “Siddique is quite particular about the original essence of the story. He’s working on a few things, and will incorporate necessary changes that will suit the sensibilities of the Tamil audience,” the source added. We learn that the shooting will begin by the end of March as soon as Arvind and Amala complete their present commitments. Bhaskar the Rascal is a story of two single parents.
