Raghuvaran Is Back,’ has been trending on Twitter, and the credit goes to the sequel of Velai Illa Pattathari (2014), starring Dhanush and Kajol. On Wednesday, the actor had tweeted a motion poster featuring himself as Raghuvaran (his role in the film) and Kajol, who made her comeback to Tamil films after two decades. VIP narrates the story of Raghuvaran who was unemployed for four years after which he found a job.
While Dhanush has penned the dialogues and story of the film, Soundarya Rajinikanth after Kochadaiyaan (2014), is directing this one.
Sameer Thahir, who has worked extensively in Malayalam cinema, will be cranking the camera.
Though Anirudh’s theme will be used in the sequel, songs and background score will be composed by Sean Roldon. Samuthirakani, Amala Paul, Vivek, Hrishikesh and Saranya Ponvannan, are also a part of VIP-2, jointly produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations.
