Rumour has it that Anushka Shetty will be a part of the Savitri biopic, Nadigaiyar Thilagam (Mahanati in Telugu), featuring Keerthy Suresh in the lead.
The Baahubali fame actor is said to have been roped in to play yesteryear actor Bhanumathi in this Tamil-Telugu bilingual. However, official confirmation is awaited.
Bhanumathi was Savitri’s contemporary and played a vital role in the latter’s career.
Starring Dulquer Salmaan as Gemini Ganesan, the film also has Samantha, Vijay Deverakonda, and Shalini Pandey as part of its cast. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is set in the black and white era.
